The M35 steel with 5 percent cobalt used to make this bit resists abrasion and high heat, so you can use it to drill hardened or heat-treated steel. With a 135-degree split point that starts quickly and resists walking, the Irwin cobalt HSS drill bit lets you get to work with minimal preparation. Short cutting lips require less torque to cut high-tensile materials, and the bit flutes eject waste quickly so you can keep working without time-consuming restarts. This jobber-length drill bit has a straight shank that fits most standard drill chucks. It is 5/32 of an inch in diameter and has 2-inch flutes. Overall bit length is 3-1/8 inches.Specifications
